Spring 2015 Radio Journalism
Radio Journalism is taught at WHCR-90.3FM by Angela Harden, General Manager of WHCR-90.3FM. This class is reserved for Journalism minors and covers broadcast news writing and radio production. Students enrolled in the course produce Harlem Beat, a community affairs show which airs each semester. Students in the Spring 2015 Radio Journalism class interviewed
· Elsia Vasquez, founder and head of Palante Harlem, a housing advocacy organization in Harlem
· Tonya Pinkins, a Tony award-winning actress
· Yusef Salem, one of the exonerated Central Park 5
· Ricky Jones, host of Unlocked on WHCR-90.3FM (Wednesdays 4-5pm) about prison reform
· A representative from Somos Los Otros about the 43 disappeared students in Mexico
· Aliana Ramdass, a student in the Art department at CCNY
